Guided tour Amsterdam
New West

Walking through New West is a recipe for surprise. At least if you believe the media portrayal. The borough would be boring and monotonous? Well, then you are in for a treat. Varying urban landscapes, friendly bits of green, a famous chapter in architectural history and up-to-date urban planning with showy architecture, all mixed up together. In short: that boring story is long gone.

A walk through New West is not a spectacle, but a subtle pleasure. If you like that, you can choose from two tours full of variety and surprise:

Walk Slotermeer and Geuzenveld: mixed route highlighting Cornelis van Eesteren's Algemeen Uitbreidingsplan (AUP) and the lively market neighbourhood of Plein 40-45. With a reconstruction monument and a very special new housing estate as an encore.

Walk Osdorp and Slotermeer: mixed route through the Meer en Vaart neighbourhood with its new buildings, greenery and the waterfront of the Sloterplas. Addition: a special neighbourhood and a cosy market.
